As a black woman, I love traveling and learning about different communities, cultures, religions and food! As a young girl, it’s been my dream to visit Paris and have that over-romanticized experience that I’ve forever imagined. I wanted to visit Barcelona and dance across the streets as a Cheetah Girl with my best friends. I also imagined of one day visiting Rome and meeting my doppelganger whose a major recording artist. My dreams, my passions, my prayers have always revolved around traveling and learning and I wanted put my experiences, as a darkskinned black woman, on a platform so other women who look like me can either compare experiences or look for insight as they prepare to Travel
This page will consist of stories from every country, city and event I’ve visited along with how the atmosphere felt for me when I entered different spaces. As a creative individual, I will take a deep dive into the beauty, art and history of each place, I will discuss new foods I’ve tried, party scenes, street food, nail salons, how I wore my hair, the weather, the airports, cafes and every small detail I cherished. But, I will also touch on the topics of sexual assault, colorism, racism, ignorance, mental health, financial health and more. While, what I experience isn’t the same for everyone, I will still share my unapologetic opinion.
